Scotland’s ‘Good to Go’ with Gray Line Scotland

We have missed you and can’t wait to share Scotland’s best kept secrets with you all.

Our Driver/Guides have spent lockdown researching and learning even more about our beautiful country. They have been swotting up on all the film locations from the shows and movies we have come to love! Below we have provided some answers to the natural questions you may have when deciding to travel again. It’s been a very uncertain year for us all so far and the Gray Line Team have adapted well and continue to invest in further training to ensure we have the most up-to-date information and follow the correct government guidance. The safety of our staff and passengers will always remain our top priority. We know we can support Scotland and its beautiful scenery and attractions safely and still have lots of fun.

Firstly, you probably want to know that your money is safe and what happens if you cannot travel.

We are currently offering free cancellation on all of our 1-day tours giving just 48 hours’ notice (except the Magical Highlands Tour where 21 days notice is required). If you are unable to travel because of Coronavirus, simply contact us and we will amend your booking free of charge. It’s extremely important that if you or anyone in your group are showing symptoms that you should not travel. If we have to cancel a tour for any reason, you will get a full refund of your tour price.

I’d prefer to travel with my family or bubble group.

You can hire your own coach for your own bubble group at extremely low discounted prices during 2020. Their additional beauty is having more flexibility and you can tailor your own itinerary with your preferences. Email us (details below) for a price today!

How do you plan to keep us safe from the Virus?

As we become accustomed to the new normal, we have become experts with the new enhanced cleaning regimes on board our coaches. All of our vehicles are fully disinfected and sanitised after each tour by our on- site dedicated cleaning team. Then, using a state-of-the-art fogging machine (that eliminates 99% of bacteria and viruses including COVID-19), a fog/mist is distributed throughout the vehicle ensuring that even the hard to reach areas and seats are fully sanitised before use again. Air conditioning filters are changed more frequently than ever and are fitted with Hispacold eco3 air purifier devices to ensure that the air inside the vehicle will remain clean and healthy during purification. Throughout the touring day, your Driver/Guide will disinfect touch points inside the vehicle using disinfectant spray. Hand sanitisers are also provided for your use. The Driver/Guide will wear a face mask when assisting you, but may not necessarily wear a face covering when driving the vehicle for safety reasons. We are confident the distance between the Driver/Guide and passengers will exceed 2 metres.

Who will help on the day?

Your Driver/Guide is there to ensure you have the best experience possible. They are already highly experienced in managing tour groups and will be fully trained to ensure all health and safety measures are met. Your small group will be managed when boarding and disembarking the vehicle and you will be allocated your very own seat prior to departure. High touch points will then be regularly wiped down by the Driver/Guide throughout the day while you are exploring your tour destination.

How can I help?

Please respect the social distancing measures in place at the time of travel and respect your fellow passengers. Remember though, we still want everyone to have fun! Wear a face covering while on board* and Do Not Travel is you are showing any symptoms of COVID-19. Current guidance is to wear a face covering when travelling on board our coaches. Please bring your own to ensure maximum comfort throughout the day. *If you are medically exempt from wearing a face covering please let us know in writing in advance of your travel date so that we can ensure your dedicated Driver/Guide understands your situation. If you forget a face covering, the driver will have a small supply available to purchase.

How many passengers will there be?

Carrying capacity guidelines as of July 2020 are approximately 50% of the seats on board. Our current on-board seating plans offers a minimum of 1 metre social distance between passengers. The layout allows 2 members of the same family to sit together and also provide the appropriate distance to the next passenger. We believe this more than meets the expectations of our customers to give peace of mind and upmost safety while travelling by coach. You will be allocated a specific seat to ensure social distancing is met throughout the vehicle, and please continue to sit in the allocated seat for the duration of the tour.

How can I join the tour?

Gray Line will come to your hotel or guest house in Edinburgh City Centre to collect you. This eliminates the requirement of travelling into town on public transport. We endeavour to access as many properties within walking distance to ensure your day starts with ease. Simply tell us where you will be staying at the time of booking and, in return, we will provide all the information and pick up times you will need.
