The Highland Games
There are nearly 100 highland games events taking place throughout Scotland every year. Originally, the games were part of Scottish clan gatherings, today, they are popular festivals and events for all to enjoy.
If you want to pick one of these events to attend in 2020, we recommend The Royal Braemar Highland Gathering. Running since 1832, the event has been attended by many members of the Royal Family and includes track and dancing events, Tug of War Championships and Scottish Pipe Bands. This popular event is so good, we run a bus to take you there 🙂
Scottish whisky
You can’t visit Scotland without trying a dram of Whisky.
There are over 100 whisky distilleries in Scotland, many which open their doors to visitors and offer taste session every year.
Famous across the world, the most expensive bottle sold in 2018 for £1.1m. Although it’s available in most countries around the globe, there’s nothing like tasting it on its home soil, straight from the distillery or after day tour of the Country.
